St Edmundsbury Cathedral shows its support

We are delighted that St Edmundsbury Cathedral will be supporting Girls Night Out this year. They will be welcoming all visitors, regardless of faith, opening their doors for moments of reflection during the event.

In the days leading up to Girls Night Out, the Cathedral's shop window will be turning pink to help us celebrate.

On the day, the Cathedral's café, Pilgrim's Kitchen, will stay open until 7.30pm for cakes, bakes and drinks.

From 6.15pm, the Cathedral will turn pink and will be a place to gather, to sit and wait or to reflect. There will be fragrant pink flowers, the nave pillars will be lit up pink and pink candles will be available to light for personal prayer. At 7.15pm, a blessing will be said for all walkers (keep an eye out for Team Cathedral who will be walking with us).

The Cathedral will remain open after our walkers have departed from Angel Hill at 8pm. Those who are not walking are welcome inside to keep watch and wait.

At 10.30pm, by the flickering light of the pink candles, a meditative and reflective service of night prayer will be held for those with weary feet. Don't worry if you're running late, just pop in when you can. The Cathedral will close at 11pm.
